Hi everyone!! I apologize for the delay I've been delayed making the video of annealing and drilling holes... that will eventually come soon and I'll post a link for it. In the mean time we have a WINNER!!!!

Wahoo. You all are rocking as jewelry designers. .... now there is so much fun we can have with this. This segment will begin more of the design aspect as to what we will add to it. I'm waiting still on mail to come that I had a few ideas to throw your way and vote for however it's not here yet :(
So in the meantime let's talk colors....

What colors would you like to see in this design

1. A mixture of colors meaning any and everything lol
2. Blues, greens, reds only

Your Time to Design! !!!

Heyyyyyyy.... Beadwench here. So I thought it would be really fun to host my very first totally awesome YOUR TIME TO DESIGN! !! This is strictly for fun. Maybe you have thought about becoming a jewelry artist and want to see the behind the scenes process... maybe your a jewelry artist and your creative muse went on a vacation and you need something to kick start your inspiration, maybe you don't have but a few moments of time to spare and just for fun want to come along on this journey.

So here is how it will work. I'm going to show you components I have to work with and together we are going to create a pair of earrings and a necklace...with me so far???? I will either post photos here or on my vlog on my YouTube channel The Beadwenches Bench!! Be sure to subscribe. This process will give you an ultimate glimpse into the process of a jewelry artist. Each Friday I'll post a new blog labeled as YOUR TIME TO DESIGN Part 2, 3, 4 , and so on until the final reveal.

You will vote on the colors, components, style etc.... this is going to be fun...

Each Fridays Your Time To Design Blog will have a photo of different items needed to create I will leave the voting open from Friday until Monday each week... and the rest we will wing it lol. There will be videos to document this awesome process and I do hope you'll join me and share in the fun.... To kick this off here is your first selection. Below are three photos labeled 1., 2. , 3.... these are copper blanks I picked up while at beadfest. There are one pair of blanks for earrings and one larger blank  for a pendant. Your vote will determine which way these will be used in the design...

Stardust: A David Bowie Blog Hop Tribute hosted by Love My Art Jewelry

I am a huge David Bowie fan. His passing literally broke my heart... I like so many other cried for the loss of such an incredible man, artist, actor, a star born , he wasn't just a legend he is legendary. His parting of this world left a huge void, I swear I felt the world weep.

David Bowie made such a profound impact on my life and the lives of so many. He taught the world to embrace our differences, to love who we are, to never be afraid to shine like the unique star that we were born to be.

His music, his lyrics, his riffs, his tremendous talent will always live on!!!

I can't say how much this blog hop means to me personally. I knew right away what I wanted to do, I visualized what David Bowie meant to me, when he truly made an impact on my life, and when he left this world to take his place amongst the stars.

I used translucent polymer clay and created an abstract pendant with two sides of David Bowie... Ziggy Stardust on the left of course.... I used acrylic paints and handpainted my design. I can not for the life of me draw let alone capture the true essence of David Bowie, so I summoned my inner ziggy stardust along with my inner Picasso and we'll the results are below. 
This was indeed a challenge because I've only very recently began playing with polymer clay in jewelry design, I'm still learning so much, and this was the perfect opportunity to push myself, and I'm so so freaking happy with the results and if David Bowie is looking down from his star I would hope that he would love it just as much I do!!!
